There are three multiplexes in London all broadcasting to a similar (but not identical) area. They are all operated by three different consortiums each with slightly different policies. Additionally, whilst London has the most capacity it also the most in-demand area from potential service providers and it has some of the highest broadcast fees.
In addition to the regular London multiplexes, MuxCo’s Surrey and South London multiplex covers a large proportion of London too.
Whilst London tends to be ‘full’, opportunities do arise from time to time and it is worth talking to the multiplex operators and us at Folder Media if you have a desire to broadcast there. Listed below are the services and operators for each multiplex.
Greater London 1
The Greater London 1 multiplex is owned by CE Digital Ltd (a joint venture between Global and Bauer Digital Radio).
The multiplex covers 9.8m adults (15+)
